This department encompasses a broad range of work that is loosely based in and around drawing.   Many of the works are pre-cursers to further progressions in other media, but still are treated as individual works of art.   Others have a direct connection to the notion of a grid structure and employ over-simplified instructional methods to fill the grid in a pre-decided manner.   The grid formations are synonymous to a process of categorising and organising thoughts; therefore they are thought processes in themselves.    The work covers drawings on paper and digital prints or files.   The digital pieces are produced from previous drawings and thought processes and act as a form of re-representation.
