Richard is an artist and writer whose practice uses abstract narratives and drawing to develop painted, sculptural and site-responsive works. In recent projects miniature pencilled imaginations and texts are used as a reference to plan painted props and place collected objects within layered installations.

Richard has extensive experience of working in galleries such as The Henry Moore Institute, Leeds and Centre for Contemporary Art, Glasgow. He has also worked as a research library and archive assistant, and in 2010 he coordinated the implementation of Transmission Gallery's resource room.

Since 2009 Richard has been contracted by a-n The Artists Information Company as an online editor, he also works concurrently as an arts consultant delivering workshops to HE courses in Fine Art and represents a-n at Artist Interaction Representation events across the UK.
